Tough loss for JV Soccer. The Rams got off to an early start and Logan Wallace tucked home a great goal from a Will Moore assist. The boys kept the pressure on for most of the first half before conceding a tying goal. A Billiken slipped by the defense on a through ball and netted the equalizer. SLUH took advantage of an accidental handball in the box that resulted in the Rams receiving a red card for the offense. They scored the penalty kick and took a 2-1 advantage into halftime.
The Rams came charging back in the second half, despite being down a man, and took the game to the Jr. Bills. We managed to create a number of strong scoring chances and you would have thought Ladue was up a man the way they controlled the game. Instead of the other way around.
The whistle finally sounded as the Rams made a gallant push up the field one last time. Players of the game: Logan Wallace for the opening goal and continued pressure all game. Sam Witzofsky was the other player of the game with a heroic and feisty performance on defense.
